A Recently Discovered Art-Form—I've played with polymer clay for a while now, and immensely enjoy sculpting the human form. When I discovered that it can be integrated into something called an 'art doll', I took off on a new tangent. Another element came into play... the round robin. Although I'd heard the term used before, it was mostly around quilting circles, so when I saw an invite posted for an ART DOLL round robin, I wanted to join in to see what it was like. Hence my participation in the Elements round robin. I am now fully-hooked on this type of artistic collaboration, and will be sure to display the results from more of them here.

Experiments in beading with rudimentary skills, and some other artsy jewelry, made of various materials, including shrink plastic and polymer clay. In the works is the procurement of a kiln to experiment further with enameling, glass fusing and bead making.

Journals, some hand-made (by myself), some altered, some purchased, and the pages within. Great thanks are due to Kelly Kilmer (whose quiet prodding, generosity with supplies and knowledge, and inspiring classes) have opened up a whole new world of endless possibilities.

Most of these are mail art, postcards created for the Belle Papier Yahoo Groups monthly postcard exchanges. Some are ATC (artist trading cards), which were also mostly for the Belle Papier exchanges, but some were also submitted elsewhere.

I love working in a variety of media, and combining them all together is particularly satisfying. Collage, transfer techniques, acrylic paint, watersoluble wax pastels, oil pastels and soft pastels all play greater or lessor roles in these pieces.

I discovered this medium a few years ago, and haven't looked back. Versatile and adaptable to many different applications, here are some samples of my experimentations.

My introduction to artful rubberstamping was at A Little Bizaar, in Lake Elsinore, where I learnt from a very wonderful instructor. Judy Claxton (whose wonderful eye, impeccable color sense, and pioneering spirit had opened my eyes to what stamps CAN accomplish). I'd initially started off with "cutsie" stamps, through scrapbooking, and had been first a rep for Creative Memories and later Close To My Heart.

Some favorite "old" pieces of artwork, some dating back to college or before.
